Margaret Brown Halsey, designer for Art Indigo, welcomes you to a world of vibrant color. Ms. Halsey’s cards are reproductions of her collages. Each is an original abstract design formed from torn or cut bits of colored paper.
Ms. Halsey has spent her lifetime to the pursuit of art - observing, painting, reading, writing and lecturing. She is a professor emeritus of art. Ms. Halsey taught art history and is a published writer on art. She studied at the Art Students League of New York City and later received her Ph. D from New York University. She wrote her dissertation on the art and theories of Josef Albers because of his experiments and theories on color. It is Ms. Halsey’s concentration on color and design that makes these cards different.
